William P. Higinbotham
Guy Lochhead, 02/09/10
American physicist and nuclear disarmament campaigner credited with the invention of one of the earliest computer games, ‘Tennis for Two’, in 1958. Higinbotham’s son has often protested the fact his father is remembered more for making a video game than for his work in campaigning for regulating the use of nuclear weapons, but I think the combination of both is what makes him truly exceptional. I will include a picture of him.
