Australian satirical group of journalists and comedians probably best known for a stunt in which members of the group – one dressed as Osama Bin Laden – breached an APEC restricted zone in a fake motorcade. The group originated as a satirical newspaper started when they were at university, so they wouldn’t “grow up”, and developed into an Australian Broadcasting Corporation comedy series when one of their founding members moved to America. Their stunts have met with both positive and negative public reception. When a joke is received badly, they usually reintroduce it, poking fun at themselves in some way.
I think these guys are funny. Both their well-received and poorly-received stunts are excellent. I will include DVDs of The Chaser’s War on Everything, and perhaps include more specific things from the programmes after watching them.
