Norwegian jazz musician best-known for his work with ice. He feels a “spiritual” connection to nature and reflects this by making instruments out of a variety of non-conventional natural materials. He was first commissioned to work with ice in 1999 and has since expanded his work with the material to include an album (‘Iceman Is’), a record label releasing only music by ice instruments (All Ice Records) and a world tour of ice musicians. Gimmicky capitalist “spiritual” hokey. The instruments are cool though!
