Legendary filmmaker responsible for classics of almost every genre. Incredibly, broadly talented, and an absolute perfectionist. Kubrick was almost monomaniacal in his approach to filmmaking. His films often present no easy answer, in a totally accessible, direct way. Include the 2007 Special Edition DVD of ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, which also includes his early photography, and the ‘Dr. Strangelove’ 2001 DVD. I’ll also be sure to include a reference to something labelled CRM 114/Serum 114, which was a sort of motif in his work.
