SCA Virus
Guy Lochhead, 30/08/10
The first (1987) computer virus created for the Commodore Amiga, and one of the first to gain public notoriety. The virus made a line of text appear at every 15th reboot that read ‘Something wonderful has happened / your AMIGA is alive !!!…’ It wasn’t harmful to the Amiga itself, but was capable of making games and floppy disks unreadable. The authors of the virus – the SCA – were the ‘Swiss Cracking Association’. It was probably authored by SCA member ‘CHRIS’. This is interesting but doesn’t matter.
