Guy Lochhead, 10/09/10
Historian, writer and television producer. He is probably best known for his ‘Greatest Stories Never Told’ books that uncover overlooked historical events. He is currently working on an independent film called ‘Ghost Army’, about the 23rd Special Headquarters Troops – a unit of soldiers whose purpose was to deceive the enemy into tactical mismanagement, using dummy tanks and sound effects records. Beyer’s subjects are more interesting than he is as an individual, so I will read his books and blog and watch his films and include things from these. It’s a fantastic re-balancing of history that he’s working on. I hope I can achieve something similar (and perhaps even better!).
