G. Raymond Deyo was a prolific arranger of the coin piano rolls produced by Binghampton, New York,-based Link Piano Company, during the 1920s and for some time after. His pieces are distinctive in their “peppiness” and were very popular in their time. Little is known of Deyo now but a hunt for information is being led by the owner of Link Piano fansite Steve Cobb. The mystery here is intriguing, but only because it’s a bit frustrating to not know everything. Really, I don’t care. Deyo could have been a pretty lame person only known for his piano rolls, and those alone aren’t worth including, so he’s out..
