Journalist and internet entrepreneur. Cassingham is the publisher of several newsletters and websites (including the first for-profit e-mail subscription). He writes about extraordinary news, people and legal cases. He’s pretty much the most American person ever. I am grateful to Cassingham for the newsletters he puts out – particularly the Honorary Unsubscribe obituaries for overlooked and important people – but I do not find him personally interesting. In fact, the pithy little witticisms he tacks onto the end of each news story are usually the worst part. Plus, goatee.
