1974 video game in which players wander around a maze looking for, and shooting, other players. It’s significant as being one of the first first-person shooters. The game’s writer, Steve Colley, went on to work for NASA on early versions of the Mars Rover. He said that his 3D perspective work on ‘Maze War’ was useful for this project. The gameplay is poor by today’s standards, and the historical significance of the game is sort of irrelevant.
