Often-overlooked dark Japanese psych band who have released very few recordings since forming in 1978. Their rock is slow, long, blown-out and wailing, and they wear a lot of black. Their frontman, Kaneko Jutok, died in 2007, but the other two members have carried on as a duo. Terrific, pained, mournful music. I really like it – incredible vocals and sludgy production, and I’d love to have seen it live, but it’s not really the right sort of thing to include here. Still, glad I know about it now! Fantastic stuff!
