Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier
Guy Lochhead, 22/07/10
A French chemistry and physics teacher, and one of the pioneers of aviation. He was aboard the first flight of the Montgolfier air balloon, and would later die in this vehicle, becoming the first known air fatality (alongwith his companion Pierre Romain). This is an interesting story, but I don’t think its inclusion would benefit anyone.
