Joshua Wilkes is a visual artist, filmmaker and musician best known for his mad live performances fronting The Legendary Shack Shakers. He has been awarded an honorary colonelship for being a ‘notable star’. Wilkes’ old-style wildness and obsession with the American South is played out. His music dilutes genuine blues pioneers and comes across as desperate posturing. His visual art is boring.
