Finnish singer-songwriter. Her music is folky and psychy, but mixes in dub treatment of melodion and drums and effected guitar rather than the usual untreated acoustic, in a seemingly-messier sort of way than most. She was part of the Finnish “forest folk” scene of the 2000s, but has since moved away from that. She also plays in Avarus, Kemialliset Ystävät, and Hertta Lussu Assa. Despite the fact I keep reading that she isn’t “forest folk”, this just seems like a better, creepier, more personal sort of forest folk… Some songs are brilliant – I really like Pimeyttä kohti – but I don’t think it’s includable because it’s not exceptional enough…
