HNC is Yuppa, a Japanese “girl’s track maker” who makes “cute&fantastic&wired tracks” that take the form of twee J-pop songs. Her most recent, third, album was 2009’s ‘Cute’. Yuppa also makes fanzines and DJs with Twee Grrrls club. Although J-pop is sort of interesting as hyper-music, this sort of blurring of pathetic childishness and passive sexuality really isn’t.
