Bohannon has worked as a touring drummer for Stevie Wonder and bandleader and arranger for Motown, but he is probably best known for his disco music. His most commercially successful track was ‘Let’s Start The Dance’. Bohannon is an accomplished musician and an important figure in the history of disco and hip hop (his songs’ bass-heaviness and punchy drums have been sampled many times), but he isn’t exceptional enough to be included.
