Australian author of young adult fiction and picture books. He originally worked as a senior draughtsman before switching to English teaching then professional book writing. His books are marked by a tendency towards a gothic approach to mystery and a “pleasing sort of terror”.There are many other writers who write more successfully in this style (which I find annoying most of the time anyway, tbh).
