The Wachowsky Brothers’ directorial debut, from 1996. The film follows a lesbian couple as they attempt to steal a stash of Mafia money and blame it one of the women’s boyfriend. I don’t understand the point of a film like this. It’s not a story that needs telling, and nothing is particularly gained by its existence. It might be a well-made, suspenseful new-noir-ish film but whatever. There’s so much other stuff to do.
