Alan Watts
Guy Lochhead, 10/09/10
English philosopher, writer and theologist who is best known for his writing introducing Eastern philosophy for a Western audience. Although some aspects of his work – the non-material pursuit of happiness, personal identity etc. – are admirable, I don’t see why this needs to be constrained by any form of established religious thought, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable including this in the programmes.
