Prolific New Zealand free noise project led by guitarist Bruce Russell, often featuring violinist Alastair Galbraith and drummer Peter Stapleton. Russell has serious NZ noise credentials, having founded avant-garde labels Xpressway and Corpus Hermeticum, and this incarnation of his work sees him mixing noise improvisation with his other passion, European 16th and 17th century science and epistemology. Releases are often live recordings. Sounds like fun for Russell, but it doesn’t really matter does it?
