8-Eyed Spy
Guy Lochhead, 09/09/10
Late-1970s Lydia Lunch band that played no-wave with traditional bluesy rock, utilising prominent bass, saxophone and Lunch vocals. They recorded briefly and released a live album. I don’t have much admiration for Lunch, so I don’t have much admiration for 8-Eyed Spy. The two entities are inseparable. If I was to include any Lunch bands, I’d probably include the ‘Hysterie’ compilation, rather than any band’s single output, as it’s more her career and role in developing the scene that’s significant. Still, I doubt that merits inclusion.
